The National Shrine of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini is a place of prayer and worship in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. It is dedicated to the Patron Saint of Immigrants and the first American Citizen Saint. The Shrine offers opportunities for pilgrimages, tours, and field trips throughout the year. It is also open to the public six days a week for individual and small group prayer.

Tours (30 – 60 minutes, as determined by group at time of booking)

Guided tours highlight the Shrine’s unique architecture and sacred art treasures which include:

  • Marble imported from Italy
  • Florentine stained glass windows reflective of the miracles related to Mother Cabrini
  • Fresco paintings telling the story of Mother Cabrini’s life
  • Historical Room of Mother Cabrini
  • Meditation Garden (season permitting)
  • First class relic of St. Cabrini enclosed in a bronze and crystal coffin

We kindly ask that groups call in advance to book a tour so a docent can be available for them. Guests are welcome to visit the Shrine during any of our normal business hours.

If a group is interested in having lunch before or after their tour, our Lower Level Meeting Room can be rented for a group gathering. The room accommodates 80 guests. Groups may cater lunch.  Please call us at 773.360.5115 for more
