A Message from the Shrine

Greetings from the National Shrine of St. Frances Cabrini.

During these challenging days it is important to connect with you and all the friends of the National Shrine of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini.

Pope Frances has asked Catholics world-wide to join Italy in praying the rosary.  This prayer in all languages and cultures allows us to be united globally.

Our familiar human connections are being compromised with family, friends, fellow worshippers, colleagues and even with strangers.  The physical loss of being in proximity with each other is being replaced with the many forms of social media available to us. Here at the Shrine we are focused on connecting with you spiritually. We are praying for your inner peace and for hope to remain alive within our human spirit. We need to counter fear with truth and love.

This pandemic disrupts our financial rhythms.  Our government officials explore ways to soften the impact on individual households and businesses.  We pray for their wisdom and success in these initiatives.

Each week, we receive important contributions allowing us to operate. Many are made through the generosity of our weekend's fellow pilgrims. This monetary loss impacts the Shrine. If donating is possible during these trying times, we would be very grateful for your meaningful support.

May the Grace of God work through us all during this crisis of the Coronavirus.

Blessings to you all. We hope to see you soon!
